The appliance
MD Vault is sold as hardware. You order a unit, plug it in at home or in the office, and relocate personal libraries off rented clouds onto equipment under your roof. There is no “download the server” path for this product.

Optional Wi‑Fi repeater packs ship as separate line items when you need more rooms covered.
| Capability | On the unit |
|---|---|
| Personal data home | Working copy of files, photos, contacts, and private records on hardware inside the premises. |
| Gateway router | WAN uplink, LAN path, firewall edge for the house or office. |
| DHCP server | Hands out addresses to phones, PCs, cameras, printers, and IoT on your LAN. |
| Local DNS | Resolves internal hostnames on-prem so vault services stay findable without public DNS for private names. |
| Docker containers | Runs the privatized MD Framework, database, and edge services in containers on the appliance. |
| Wi‑Fi radio | Primary wireless so every handset can push photos and files to the home vault. |
| AI Guard | Activity monitor across network flows and the servers holding your relocated data. |
| MD Hub stack | Files, Sites, Portals, Plans, agents, domains/TLS tooling under the owning account. |
